We had a member who was accused of extreme animal cruelty. Being innocent of this crime, the member was absolutely devastated that the company could accuse him of such a horrendous deed. This matter was taken to the Commission and the AMIEU managed to get a good outcome for this member, not only wiping this off of his record but getting him his five (5) year service certificate and approximately $2,000 to help him move on with his life. We were also able to help him find another job in the meat industry.
